Bio
Born in Dallas, Texas and raised in McAllen, a small town in the Rio Grande Valley, sixteen-year-old Josh Wise makes his series-starring debut in Do Over. Josh plays Pat, a socially conscious teen, who is Joel’s best friend. Josh describes the set and cast of Do Over as, “my favorite of all the projects I’ve worked on. It is a great show and the cast is wonderful. It’s very fun!”
Josh became interested in acting while taking theatre arts in junior high school. Josh won the Best Actor award in his school’s competition two years in a row for his roles in I Never Saw Another Butterfly, which was based on the Holocaust, and Close Ties. His mother, seeing his talent and desire, rewarded him with acting classes in Austin and Dallas. During those classes he was “discovered” by a casting director who introduced him to a manager. His manager encouraged Josh to spend some time in Los Angeles auditioning for roles.
On his first trip to Los Angeles, in 2001, Josh booked a starring role in the WB pilot Murphy’s Dozen. In addition he landed guest-starring roles on Frasier as a rival spelling champion competing against Frasier’s son and as a love interest to Lizzie on Lizzie McGuire. In 2002, Josh auditioned for and landed his role in Do Over.
Josh and his family recently relocated to Los Angeles. He lives with his parents, sister and brother. When not working, the high school junior enjoys skateboarding, playing drums and paintball.
